Are all learners Spanish speaking?
No. Learners (link to students page) are from all walks of life including America, Mexico, Latin America, Korea and other Asian countries. CCLC welcomes all English language learners.
Do I need to know a second language?
No. Our methodology is English immersion and English is the only language spoken during tutoring sessions.
Do I need teaching experience?
No. We will provide training and support. Some tutors start as assistants in small classes until they are more comfortable. Others prefer doing one-on-one tutoring. We will help you find your place!
Are there other ways to help besides tutoring?
We are always looking for people to help with outreach, building awareness, recruiting learners and supporting us in the office. Call 805.925.0951 ext. 836 to find out how you can help.
